Stunning details surface in the murder of Sarah Everard who was killed by a UK cop gone rogue

As it turns out distrust in police isn’t quite just an American thing. Earlier this year, a UK woman by the name of Sarah Everard was kidnapped; raped, and murdered by a cop who falsely claimed she had broken COVID rules in London.

You read that right. Wayne Couzens, 48, a former Metropolitan cop is standing trial this week for her gruesome murder that many were shocked to learn had been committed at the hands of a cop. The case is pretty shocking to say the least considering he also reportedly burnt her body before disposing of it following raping said body multiple times.

At the time of the phony arrest, a woman in her car driving by had assumed she was witnessing an arrest by an undercover cop which wasn’t the case at all. Couzens it appears did not make any comments during one of his two day trial at the Old Bailey.

Prosecutors allege that he falsely used his police warrant card in order to get Everard ‘s attention. After the phony arrest, officials say he transported her to Kent where the crimes began with no way to escape. By the time they had arrived in Kent, Everard was already handcuffed and seatbelted into Couzen ‘s rented car.

He is set to learn his formal fate on Thursday but likely will see a mandatory life sentence. It is unclear if prosecutors are considering any type of parole down the line.
