Russia ‘s top brass has confirmed that the country is in fact in contact with the Taliban and reportedly planning to help the group secure its legitimacy as the government behind Afghanistan. Reuters was first to report the news, although, most of it remains unclear due to most deceptive practices coming out of Russia.
The outlet also reported on Monday that Afghanistan’s weak former President Ghani fled the country via helicopter with four different cars and a massive amount of money. Formally recognizing the Taliban means that other countries would inevitably have to do the same or place them on terror watch lists similar to the way the world shunned North Korea.
