This article contains important updates for Kiwis in New Zealand. The government has announced that the lockdown will go through at least Friday as they continue to try and quell the spread of a Delta COVID outbreak. It is understood that as of this writing the outbreak has hit the triple digits.
It is unclear just how far the outbreak may have spread though the government maintains that it is contained to Auckland.
New Zealand has had some of the toughest restrictions in the world and has managed to handle the Coronavirus pandemic fairly well compared to its neighbours.

Health authorities confirmed that they’ve found 107 cases of the contagious Delta variant. In NZ only about 20% of the actual population is fully vaccinated.
