Morning Mix: Afghanistan falls, Kabul gets overrun, heartbreaking scenes and more

Monday ‘s AM mix is here. The content contained in this AM newsletter may not be suitable for all audiences. This newsletter is brought to you by Crown Drinks — a lifestyle beverage brand.

  1. Afghanistan is now under total Taliban rule (almost.)

Late yesterday evening Kabul formally fell to Taliban terrorists. It is understood that they have already begun implementing harsh Islamic rule. Women and girls are being rounded up throughout villages as young as 12 but no older than 45. Under most Islamic interpretations, women are not women but rather objects and servants. During the early hours of Monday, the Presidential palace formally fell to the terrorist gang. The country’s bewildered President has already fled prior to their arrival in Kabul. Western forces and counterparts are now teetering on whether or not the Taliban government should be recognized (and it shouldn’t because that means severe problems are dead ahead for the world.)

2. Chaotic scenes at Kabul ‘s unfolded as desperate Afghans sought to escape

In Afghanistan, not allot of people actually had passports and visas to leave the country to begin with. As chaotic scenes unfolded at Kabul ‘s international airport, that very fact was evident as many were unable to leave the country. Apart from that fact — brief gunfire repeatedly was heard overnight as the scenes continued to play out. The U.S military is understood to be in control of security at the airport although it is unclear exactly what good the Americans can play at this point after 20 big years of nothing.

At one point Afghans clung to the side of a U.S military plane that had sought to evacuate diplomats from the country. The reported death count is at least 5 among those who had done so although it likely is far higher than that.

3. California is set to require proof of vaccinations for indoor activities.

Like New York California is set to require vax proof for all indoor activities. It is unclear if the move is permanent or just for a while hence the governments failures to control the Delta variant of the Coronavirus.

4. CNN obtained a video of the desperate scenes at the airport.

5. Biden is on vacation and catching flack for the unfolding scenes in a country desperate for help.

As the dangerous scenes unfolded in Afghanistan, Joe Biden, was at Camp David remaining relatively silent on the situation. As a result of his communication failures, many are demanding for more reasons than one that he resign as President of the United States.

During the publication of this report, the White House confirmed to the press that Biden will return from Camp David and address the nation against the backdrop of a human rights disaster that he alike Trump is partially to blame for.

6. America is getting a food stamp boost.

According to a multi-pronged approach by the Biden Administration foodstamps are getting a permanent boost. According to the new plan, food stamps for single folks are to go up to on average $157 a month beginning in October. It is part of a larger push by the American government to feed and help its people.
