This article is an important weather alert for U.S folks along the eastern seaboard. According to the National Weather Service, tropical storm Henri is now Hurricane Henri, and is expected to bring heavy rain and high winds to the area. It is unclear how strong the hurricane will be when it makes landfall — although it is expected to partially weaken by that time.
Power companies in the area on Long Island and beyond are slowly warning customers that power outages are likely and may last up to week depending on how bad the storm is.
