Florida ‘s DeSantis is a character in his own right. Last month the right-wing Governor of Florida led a crusade to block the use of masks in schools and so on in a formal ban. As the ban took hold so did the Delta variant in the state causing one of the biggest COVID spikes in America right now.
Now DeSanti is ratcheting up his anti-mask propaganda machine by reportedly threatening to withhold pay to school officials who defy the statewide ban. Though those already defying said ban include: Broward, Duval, Hillsborough, Orange, Palm Beach, and Leon counties, per the Tallahassee Democrat.
