A stunning discovery in Space has led to the finding of four free-flying planets nobody knew existed

An extraordinary discovery in Space today as researchers have announced the discovery of four rogue planets in Space that weren’t known in existence before today. According to Space.com, astronomers used a process called microlensing to discover the planets all of which appear to have been ejected from other systems.

It is at this time however unknown exactly what is on those planets or what may potentially inhabit them as they do not appear to have originated within our own galaxy system.

‘We don’t know exactly how far away they are,’ study author Professor Iain McDonald at the University of Manchester told MailOnline.

‘They are not among the nearest stars, but closer than the centre of our Galaxy. So it’s probably most accurate to say they are several thousand light years away.
