A U.S federal judge identified as Dabney Friedrich has struck down the U.S’s national eviction moratorium. According to the ruling, the national version is now void though it is already being appealed. The Department of Justice immediately criticized the ruling which would inevitably bring great problem(s) for America as it seeks to overcome the Coronavirus.
Friedrich (worth noting their a Trump appointee) ultimately ruled that the CDC overstepped its boundaries when it applied the moratorium to begin with.
Confirming: The U.S. Department of Justice has filed a notice of appeal to the DC Circuit of this morning’s ruling vacating the CDC’s eviction moratorium. Also we seek a stay of the decision, pending appeal.

An abrupt wave of evictions likely would send America spiraling back into a crisis of epic proportions that it would likely not make it out of.
