A major Hollywood producer accused of workplace wrongdoing and bullying has stepped back from duties

It seems no matter the industry these days bullying and otherwise various forms of harassment have become the norm. According to reports, Hollywood producer Scott Rodin has stepped back from his duties over allegations that he has on numerous occasions mistreated his employees. The AP reports through a statement from Rudin that he has apparently acknowledged his wrongdoing.

“After a period of reflection, I’ve made the decision to step back from active participation on our Broadway productions, effective immediately,” Rudin said in a statement. “My roles will be filled by others from the Broadway community and in a number of cases, from the roster of participants already in place on those shows.”

“Much has been written about my history of troubling interactions with colleagues, and I am profoundly sorry for the pain my behavior caused to individuals, directly and indirectly,” said Rudin. “I am now taking steps that I should have taken years ago to address this behavior.”
