TULUM, MEXICO – Following the terrifying release of footage of police murdering Salvadoran citizen Victoria Salazar — Mexico now says it has moved to launch a homicide investigation. According to multiple reports, Mexican officials confirmed overnight that at least four municipal police officers will be investigated in connection to her death.
Officials in the nearby state of Quintana Roo did not immediately identify her though social media did. Salvadoran officials later confirmed that she was in fact a citizen.
