3 major takeaways from the #MeghanandHarrry interview

The Meghan and Harry interview is here and it is just about every possible avenue of made for television one could imagine. In the interview, Meghan admits some things; confirms others, and acknowledges indirect defeat within a monarchy that she sort of knew she didn’t belong.

  1. Meghan often felt lonely in the palace because the palace cared more about the (“looks”) rather than how things felt.

During the initial carnage that the couple felt, Meghan felt that she was alone and trapped in the house because the firm didn’t want her overexposed. Even in the house and having been stuck in the house for months, Meghan was everywhere already but no where.

Meghan mostly appeared during the interview to be pretty genuine. This is obviously a woman who was done horribly wrong about her own family (even if she isn’t blood.)

2. Markle admits that there were conversations about the possibility that Archie could come out to be fair skinned or “too dark” by monarchy standards.

3. Buckingham Palace reportedly told The Duchess of Sussex that her son would not receive security.

Given that the monarchy often would let the press spin as they saw fit, it would make sense, that Markle would expect that her son would receive security given that he is part of the Monarchy (even though she doesn’t want much to do with it.) Because at the end of the day, Archie is still the son of Prince Harry and the grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II.
