NEW HAVEN — Local police and federal authorities have launched a manhunt for Qinxuan Pan, 29 over the murder of Kevin Jiang in which they believe he is responsible for. On Thursday, police officials confirmed that Pan is wanted on two active warrants and should be considered armed and dangerous.
Pan a reported A.I researcher in the area reportedly shot Jiang dead just after his engagement announcement to fiance. Jiang, 26, was shot dead just a week after he had proposed to his girlfriend of more than a year according to police.
Police confirmed in a statement that he may be on the run.
‘We do not expect that he is in Connecticut,’ Reyes said. ‘However, what I will say is that anything’s possible at this point. We are not ruling out that he’s in Connecticut, however, we are exploring leads that he is somewhere nationwide.’
