Dubai’s glamorous Princess Latifa is still a missing person and is considered to be a hostage. In a stunning new documentary for the BBC, it has since been revealed that Princess Latifa is being held hostage in an offshoot jail believed to be somewhere near a beach in the authoritarian kingdom.

The videos you’re about to see in the documentary were recorded by Latifa using a secret phone that she had been given after she was able to get in touch with a friend. How she managed to do so while under guard remains uncertain.

BBC reporters were able to reportedly confirm that she was at one point (it is unclear if she is still there) was being held in the makeshift jail with no medical assistant; charges, trial, or anything.

“BBC Panorama has independently verified the details of where Latifa was being held hostage. She was guarded by around 30 police, working on rotation, both inside and outside the villa. The location is just metres from the beach. It is not known if she is still there,” the press release says.
