A New York Times staffer is under fire for alleged use of racial remarks

Just last week it was one thing this week it is something entirely different at the New York Times. According to a letter circulating, more than 150 staffers have written to Dean Baquet demanding a full investigation into Donald Mcneil Jr.

READ THE FULL CLAIMS in the DAILY BEAST.

According to the letter, staffers say Mcneil has a colorful history of spouting off racist remarks; undertones about Black teenagers, and generally every type of nasty stereotype one would imagine. Allot of the complaints appear to involve a 2019 Times-sponsored trip to Peru which saw Mcneil leading the pack at the time.

Of course the Times did not actually fire Mcneil at the time claiming that although they knew what he said he said it without malicious intent. On Wednesday e-mails went out by top brass defending their actions regarding the matter.

‘Every member of our leadership team has been seized with the urgency of addressing the problems raised in the letter,’ read the email, seen by The Washington Post.
