The GOP is still blocking $2k stimulus checks as the clock runs out and Congress has now expired

Congress is pretty much adjourned until the next Congress begins in the United States. That in itself means that the clock has run out for hope that the GOP led Senate would approve any type of $2k towards stimulus checks. As Friday came to an end, it became abundantly clear that Mitch McConnell has no interest in further helping the American people sending yet another wrench into the lives of struggling citizens.

Surprisingly, even the likes of Lindsey Graham (who has long been a staunch advocate for anything but help or morality for the Americans) now supports such check increases to Americans. In a tweet Graham notably sided with Democrats and a growing list of Republican Senators who do not agree with Mitch.

The new Congress is set to convene next week.
