After 6 long years of Republican rule, the Senate and the power of the Senate will switch over to the Democrats after their historic win in Georgia. Current Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is poised to lose control of the Senate this month giving Democrats the pavement they need to finally begin enacting the long-sought agenda they’ve wanted to for so long.
Against the backdrop of McConnell ‘s loss, Perdue and Loeffler are already appearing to follow Trump ‘s playbook of baseless election allegations.
“It feels like a brand new day,” said Schumer in a statement Wednesday morning according to Buzzfeed News. “For the first time in six years, Democrats will operate a majority in the United States Senate -— and that will be very good for the American people.”
