Georgian rep Marjorie Taylor Green exhibits one hard truth about right-wing America: they will say and do anything so long as it makes their ilk seem like the victim. According to reports, Media Matters has unearthed Facebook comments dating back a few years ago where Green decided to downplay school shootings in America. The comments of course go hand-in-hand with anti gun control advocates who go to fairly extreme lengths to deny those types of things happen.
EDITORS UPDATE: On 27 1 21 a video surfaced online pertaining to this very story. According to the video, the now Rep Marjorie Green can be seen harassing and verbally assailing David Hogg — one of the survivors of the Parkland Massacre.
MM notes that the comments surround particularly that of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School massacre which saw 17 people murdered when a gunman opened fire during broad daylight. Green claimed in the comments that the shooting was a “false flag” apparently led by some sort of Democratic cabal .
In the same comments, she also expressed doubt and tried to sow misinformation about the previous 2012 massacre that took place at Sandy Hook that year. It aligns with the Republican-led idea that gun control bad massacres good.
