Facebook suffered a huge security breach, the scale of it has just now been revealed:

Facebook is certainly no stranger to data breaches and the like. This time we’re going on a road trip back to 2019 in an apparent breach that wasn’t largely known to the public… but it is now. According to Motherboard, somebody managed to use a bot they made to steal tens-of-millions of phone numbers from a Facebook database before said breach was patched that year.

The hack came out to the tune of millions of phone numbers that were easily accessible and could be compared against Facebook ID’s to find out who owns them on the Telegram messaging app. Motherboard notes that the hacker apparently used the same app to distribute them and resell them for even more money than he originally intended.
