Ahmaud Arbery ‘s white murderers don’t want him to be called a victim in court

Months after the sensational murder of Ahmaud Arbery in broad daylight by two white men for absolutely no reason other than him being Black — they’re now speaking out. The men, Gregory and Travis McMichael, through their attorneys are reportedly attempting to influence how Arbery is seen throughout their trial.

Reports show that neither of the two men want Arbery to be called a victim during their trial(s) because it could show prejudice against them. Reports also show that they’re petitioning a judge to block more than one photo of Arbery being released; attempting to for some reason obtain his disciplinary and mental health records, and don’t want spectators wearing slogans like Black Lives Matter.

Defendants, Travis and Greg McMichael, respectfully move that the prosecution be prohibited from the use of prejudicial terms at trial, during jury selection, or in the presence of witnesses,’ the attorneys wrote in the motion filed on December 30.

‘These terms include the use of the word “victim.” The purpose of this motion is to prevent the prosecution from ignoring its duty to prove beyond reasonable doubt that crimes were actually committed and that McMichaels committed the crimes as charged.

‘Due process requires minimal injection of error or prejudice into these proceedings. Use of terms such as “victim” allows the focus to shift to the accused rather than remain on the proof of every element of the crimes charged.’

Meanwhile both men are attempting to conceal all of their phone records from calls that were made while they were in jail. It’s unbelievably scary that they’re trying to paint Ahmaud as some sort of disturbed when video footage has already proven otherwise.
