Morning Mix: Credit card companies dump Pornhub, the FDA is confused, and more

The new edition of the Morning Mix newsletter is here. In this edition, we’re talking about sedition; Pornhub, and the FDA. This edition of Morning Mix is brought to you by Samsung.

  1. Republicans in America are rightfully being accused of sedition/treason.

Following the announcement of a bizarre legal effort in Texas, Republicans (more than 106 of them) are being accused of sedition by trying to throw out legal votes of people who don’t live in their states. The effort comes from Texas and apparently spans most of the red states in the South. It’s like an epic version of a crossword puzzle but you only have to finish half the puzzle to figure out what’s going on here. The effort, thus, doesn’t appear to have much traction as it has been thrown out of court several times.

2. Pornhub is nosediving and nosediving fast.

Following a bombshell expose by the New York Times, Pornhub has lost Mastercard and Visa on its sites. Users are no longer allowed to use their type of card or their associating cards on the platform at all. This comes as more people are learning the sheer depth of Pornhub ‘s unbelievable abuse over the years. The payment giants also confirmed their other sites will be evaluated. According to statistics, the two giants alone control about 80% of the market for credit/debit use.

3. The FDA has approved the vaccine, although nobody’s quite sure if it has rolled out.

Yesterday, the Food and Drug Administration ‘s emergency panel met to approve the use of Pfizer ‘s COVID-19 vaccine. Although it was unanimously approved, it is unclear when in fact the vaccine will roll out for more people. Ordinary Americans however will not get the vaccine until at least the Spring or later.

4. People like Rush Limbaugh and more are genuinely calling for a secession.

“There’s no chance we can just co-exist now” Limbaugh can be heard saying in an audio recording that was posted online. It comes just a week or so after people like Michael Flynn ignited calls for the constitution to be suspended and for Trump to call an election by use of the military. Nothing of the sorts has ever happened in America and such actions would likely be grounds for treason.

5. Good news for Indiana Jones fans.

According to Disney and Lucasfilm, 78-year-old Harrison Ford will return as the legendary character for one final adventure. Filming is set to begin in the Spring with a 2022 release date set. It will be Ford ‘s final appearance in the franchise.
