Calls for martial law in America spark genuine backlash

Because they’re just about as wild as they sound. As we’ve reported at least twice already —- the loyalists Trump is installing in the government are now calling for the constitution to be suspended. Such a move would be rather rare in the United States, alas, would also trigger unrelenting social unrest. The type of social unrest that GOPers claim is happening but then would actually be happening.

Former GOP lawmakers, however, are now coming forward shaming Michael Flynn and Scott O’Grady — two far right figures that are leading the calls for the brazen abuse of power.

It won’t stop there.

Some Republicans are now claiming that in order for Trump to claim his so called rightful victory — that there is no choice but to therefore suspend the constitution accordingly. Most don’t realize though that suspending the constitution means rights would be taken from everyone —- and not just the particular groups that GOPers tend not to like.

NPR has some of the responses and they’re pretty wild. It remains to be seen exactly what Trump is attempting to do, mostly, considering he’s got all but a month left before he is scheduled to leave office.
