Atlanta can’t stop sudden crime wave so its solution is private security in Buckhead

Known as the Beverly Hills of the East Buckhead Georgia is home to some of the wealthiest people in the region; T.V, Black Hollywood, and most in between. But recently the city has struggled to reportedly contain a wave of violence so much so that city council members have now proposed a $1.6m private security firm to roam about Buckhead.

For those that don’t know, Buckhead, is home to people who otherwise could likely fund the entire private security team themselves.

The move comes just days after a young girl named Kennedy Maxie was shot in the back of the head while riding in a vehicle with her mother. The duo was just wrapping up Christmas shopping in the area before gunfire broke out nearby and it struck their vehicle. Maxie ‘s murder is the 155th homicide this year in Atlanta alone.

Meanwhile, Mayor Bottoms has fallen under scrutiny amid claims that she isn’t doing enough to address the spike in crime.
