Answering some of your FAQ ‘s sent to our fan-mail inbox

In this week ‘s fan question box (we have an e-mail dedicated to that) we received a host of questions about our business model and how we managed to get it off the ground. The truth is our business model we don’t actually have one. The only form of a business model that we have is consistency; productivity, and otherwise employee happiness.

Contrary to popular belief, we aren’t owned by what is called Newspaper Newsgroup Limited (pretty sure that’s there name.). We are owned by a group of private citizens who have no corporate interests; no ties to dark money, and otherwise are about as regular as one might expect. That has accounted for much of our success because they’ve banned corporate money; power players, and the like from ever taking control of this agency.

Another large part of our success is that in itself. Our founders and those in charge range from everyday working Mothers; to college students, real people, and non-corporate adversaries who help us with the legal stuff; accounting, and otherwise. Contrary to belief, there are quite a few people who work here although they’ve opted not to identify themselves because of the death threats; name-calling, and the like we often receive. A 2017 decree allows our team to otherwise remain in the shadows.

One problem we’ve had over the years is that because we are ordinary people we often get confused for either not being the people who own this agency, or, simply told that there’s no possible way we have people working with us because we don’t have some type of corporate warlord.

Why don’t you release financial records?

We stopped doing that because what would be potential investors took that as means to attempt to bribe us into buying us out. We’ve had 32 buyout attempts since 2010. Ranging from business people; to big media, to foreign governments and more. We have no interest in being bought so we just stopped releasing financial records to prevent further attempts. We can confirm, however, that our finances are privately funded by the failing in which maintains dominant shareholder status within this agency.

Why are you guys so private with what goes on behind the scenes?

That’s because we are ran by a group of community families(s) that otherwise don’t want to go entirely mainstream. We get allot of visitors every day and even every month. We’re private mostly because of the safety concerns surrounding our families and friends. We’ve been threatened before; received death threats, doxxed, and so on.

Is there a reason the public isn’t allowed to know much about the man who calls the shots?

That would be SHK himself. Since the beginning of time, SHK ‘s real identity has been shielded from the public. While some appear to know others do not and we have gone to great lengths to keep it that way. SHK has been doxxed; attacked, assaulted, followed home, and more mostly as a result of this very newspaper. In one instance he was notoriously falsely accused of being intimidating on a flight and therefore was met by FBI officials a few years ago at his rented home in Atlanta.

Ir ia not that they (yes, their pronouns are they/them) or we are hiding something about SHK from the public. It is mostly the fact that we have no choice but to do these things to keep them safe. Apart from being racially profiled over an article they wrote on this website and then hounded by the FBI, they were also the subject of a phone hacking scandal that led to the contents; e-mails, and phone numbers of their iPhone released to the public and the internet.

You guys have been around for a very long time, what else do you do besides the news?

We offer a wide variety of services in quite a few countries. We are also a travel agency; tutoring service, website and app development agency, obviously the news and blog service, PR and newswire services, and more. The list is pretty exhaustive.

How else do you make money?

Apart from services we also have social media pages; social influencer projects, advertisements, and more. At this time we have no plans to add a paywall to our websites.

What is your diversity like?

Although a predominately minority owned agency we do have people of all backgrounds at our agency. We are a welcoming; affirming, and friendly place irregardless of where one may come from.

You guys have almost never had a public spat with current or former team members. Why is that?

We believe in happiness around these parts. We offer our people the chance to mostly work from home; group virtual movie nights, prizes and giveaways, free access to services and such, and more. We have close to no rules at this agency and folks are free to do as they wish so long as their duties are completed. In as long as we’ve been around that policy approach has almost never been a problem. In 2019 and 2020, we turned record profits for the 6th year in a row operating as we do.

Why aren’t you owned by big media you’re doing great!?

We have no interest in big media because then that would mean we’d have to deal with big agendas. We’re not here to doo that. We believe in educating and informing the public without a corporate agenda behind the information.

Do you have a board?

No we do not although our families act as an unofficial board.

What’s your approach to user privacy?

We have millions of registered users and because of such we keep that information and such under tight grip. Our user information is scrambled; cannot be read by users who log-in and generally must be accessed using a particular key we created that locks down the portion of our server that has user information on it. We do not typically comply with court requests to hand over user information and in the United States we do not comply at all. We take user privacy very seriously.

We have multiple software(s); login protection services, and the like installed on our services to prevent unintended access to user accounts people shouldn’t have access too.

These are all the questions for today. Next week we’ll answer the new week’s questions.
