An Alaskan nurse is the first US person to report a severe allergic reaction to Pfizer ‘s COVID-19 vaccine

Disclosure: Despite such — the nurse and health officials are still advising people to get the vaccination as the allergic reactions are rare. But it’s worth noting that some people may take a litte longer for allergic reactions to happen and thus may find out such has happened when they get home.

According to media reports published Wednesday, a middle-aged healthcare worker in Juneau had an anaphylactic reaction to the vaccination that took local doctors and such by surprise. Despite such, they’re still telling people that the vaccine is safe to get and they have nothing to worry about. Because in the words of one health official “allergic reactions are rare” according to the New York Times.

Local reports in Juneau confirm that the unidentified nurse indeed spent the night in the ICU although appears to be okay right now. Per officials, she had the reaction no less than 10 minutes afte receiving the vaccination.
