Poll appears to show at least half of Americans won’t comply with another month long lockdown

A new Gallup poll out Thursday appears to show that the United States might have a much larger problem on its hands if it attempts a national lockdown of any kind. The poll shows that despite many Americans acknowledging that the virus is getting worse they just likely won’t comply with another lockdown.

That can partially be chalked up to the mismanagement of the virus at the hands of the Trump Administration. The Trump Administration has refused to fully acknowledge the virus; implement mask mandates, and pretty much any logical thing one could think of. As a result, America has tip-toed through minor restrictions instead of tackling it full strength to get it under control once-and-for-all.

The same poll notes that only 49% of respondents noted that they would actually comply and shelter-in-place down from the previous 61% polled compliance during the original major outbreak earlier this year.
