In what social media may see as a significant reason to rejoice, reports out Friday now say that Donald Trump may only lose the election but also his Twitter account. Per Twitter ‘s usual Terms of Service and such and other known factoids about the news world; world leaders, and other folks — this is what some of you might not know about the social media network.
Right now, Trump is afforded protections because of the fact he is obviously and controversially the President of the United States. So, for the most part over the years his controversial and often violent posts have gone unchecked. But now with the pending doom of his re-election campaign, Trump is reportedly slated to lose their very protections.
It has been no secret for years that Twitter intentionally gives free reign to public officials; world leaders, and Presidents because they want people to hear from them unfiltered. But. without that immunity, Trump now stands to lose both the election and his beloved Twitter account as he would be subject to Terms of Service like anyone else.
