Newsletter: Docs sound the alarm on COVID vaccine, Sidibe is engaged, Scotland makes period items free and more

From Hollywood to London — we’re bringing you Wednesday ‘s newsy letter on behalf of Daily News America and our many newspapers. From Hollywood to politics and Trump ‘s wild ride of a Presidency, we’re bringing you morning updates fresh off the presses so by the time you get up today — they’ll be waiting for you.

  1. Gabby Sidibe is engaged

Movie star Gabby Sidibe is engaged to be married. On Tuesday, the beauty announced that she was engaged to her longtime boyfriend although it took many by surprise to learn that her spouse is in fact white.

2. Donald Trump ‘s quack lawyer friend Sidney Powell is begging for cash

Nobody ‘s really sure where she came from or why but Sidney Powell has told a host of lies in a very short time. After being apparently dropped by the Trump campaign ‘s efforts to have election results overturned, Powell is now begging for funds and donations online of her own. Again, nobody’s quite sure why.

3. Trump ‘s re-election legal funds.. er… might be used for other purposes

Somewhere deep in the fine print of Trump ‘s legal defense fund has emerged another nugget most missed. According to the terms of the fund, funds may be used for salries apart from the fund that nobody is quite sure why a salary would be drawn to begin with. It is one of many things that have been found to be problematic with the fund although the Trump campaign denies any wrongdoing.

4. Scotland has made a dramatic move into modern day.

Beginning last night, period items for women are now free countrywide. That is a far cry from places in the world that often tax them; try to take them off of shelves during hard times, and other weird things. The move is being hailed as life-changing for many as period items often can be expensive.

5. An alarm bell from doctors about the upcoming COVID-19 vaccine(s)

As suspected, the COVID-19 vaccines have a host of side effects that may hit people very differently. According to several doctors, they’ve now demanded that the CDC release a comprehensive list and a warning to Americans who think taking the vaccine will be a swift ride. Because it won’t. Doctors now want the CDC to clearly warn Americans that by taking the vaccine there will be a period of time of “mild to severe side effects.” (We’ll have more on this today.)

6. The Duchess ‘s Heartbreak

In a stunning New York Times essay, The Duchess of Sussex confirmed for the first time that she and Prince Harry lost their 2nd child this year after she suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage. The essay appeared in the New York Times on Wednesday to both praise and harsh unnecessary criticism.
