Months after the announcement that Amazon had acquired rights to the iconic franchise —- the sequel finally has a release date. According to reports, the sequel will premiere on Amazon Studios on 5 March 2021 meaning King Akeem and his wacky adventures are coming soon.
According to reports, the original cast followed by a host of new members for the ensemble will be joining the film. All of the originals James Earl Jones as King Jaffe Joffer, Shari Headley as Queen Lisa and John Amos as Cleo McDowell will be back.
