Vegas man whose daughter was found dead in hot car is released on bond

A Las Vegas man whose daughter was found dead inside of his hot car was released from lock-up on bond this week. Sidney Deal, 27, was originally arrested on 6 October after he refused to let his brother and an officer break a window on his vehicle to rescuie his 21-month-old daughter, Sayah Deal.

Deal, who according to documents had sole custody of the child, took the toddler to visit his girlfriend, who is the biological mother of two of his children.

According to police reports at the time, the two argued and Deal left the apartment with his infant daughter. He later told police he placed the little girl in her carseat and returned to his girlfriend’s home to ask her to call his mother on his behalf. His girlfriend allegedly claimed to police at the time that he had came back to her home because he had claimed he had locked his keys in his car with the baby inside and the AC on.

Indeed, per police, the woman did actually call his mother but did not let him back inside the home. According to KTNV, Deal refused to let his brother Samid break a window on his car after he had arrived to discover the horrifying situation. This perhaps is where cops were called and he eventually was charged with one count of child neglect resulting in substantial bodily harm.

He has since posted $20,000 bond as of this week having been released from the Clark County Detention Centre.
