Dems now seeking to invoke 25th amendment: Report

A dramatic end to Donald Trump ‘s presidency could be on the horizon if House Democrats manage to get their way. According to Nancy Pelosi —- House Dems are set to meet today in Washington to determine whether or not it is possible to convene a commission to rule on how to remove the President from office.

Will they do it? That remains to be fully seen actually.

The commission would act on the grounds of the 25th amendement under the presumtion that the President is unfit for office and lying about his condition.

————-

A little civics lesson.

Per official rules of the U.S government, a President (and by rules we’re talking about the Constitution here) a President can be removed under the 25th amendment. While an extraordinary move, the 25th amendment is meant to protect the American people and its government from a President who may be declared unfit for power. In the case of Donald Trump, many believe that he may be lying about his COVID diagosnis in some form as he also isn’t being forthcoming about his condition.

The 25th amendment would require not only consultion but also a commission that would rule or recommend before the government before being placed before the House of Representatives and so on.
