American rapper Offset has been arrested for reasons that are a little unclear. Moments ago —- an Instagram live appeared online that confirmed that Set was arrested for reasons that weren’t clear in the video. From what we understand —- a Trump supporter reportedly broke the window on Offset ‘s vehicle and then the cops were called.
Witnesses say that Offset was not the instigator in the situation and that the unidentified individual appeared to have targeted the rapper’s car. The cops, however, were caught on Offset ‘s live reaching through the window of his car and then proceeding to pull him out of his vehicle.
We’d like to remind folks that cops aren’t allowed to do that from what we understand per U.S law.
Initially, it appears that the cops claimed that they had received reports of guns being shown in Offset ‘s window but that has not been confirmed as accurate information. We have been unable to confirm the claims that the cops received credible information about guns being waved, as there is video of everything else except for that. Offset and Cardi ‘s vehicles were being tailed by Trump supporters we’re told and that is what ingnited the controversy.
UPDATE: It turns out that it was actually Cardi B’ s cousin Marcelo Almanzar that was the one who was apparently flagging guns. Cops were after him and not quite Offset, although he ended up getting detained over the situation.
