Smoke from the West Coast fires has reached the East Coast

You’re not crazy. In parts of the East Coast — heavy smoke arrived on Tuesday as many of you probably woke up to start your day. According to the National Weather Service, smoke from the fires spanning California to Washington State has now been found in DC; New York, and most surrounding areas. In fact, it has also reached Europe and parts of the Union.

The NWS confirmed that air quality in those places has not fully been impacted yet and it remains to be seen as to whether or not it actually will. WUSA9 has several photos of the smoke arriving East.
