While nobody is quite sure whether or not it’ll be followed through with — a threat from Donald Trump to quash the app people use to create content against him may be no more. On Friday, the U.S crony told reporters aboard Air Force One that an exec order would be issued tonight to block the app for good in America.

Multiple reports are now stating that ByteDance (the Chinese owner of the app) is rushing to the table in an effort to fully divest the U.S portion of the app. This perhaps would allow the app to continue to run in America if Trump isn’t feeling super petty. Reuters reports that officials are now asking the U.S app to find a buyer and fast, and, hope that by doing such a deal will be kept with the White House to keep TikTok in the country.
