Kenosha police officers if nothing less have demonstrated that instead of conflict resolution they’re willing to seek to militia style tactics to arrest blacks people. Days after the racially charged shooting of Jacob Blake, Kenosha police officers are back in the news after having violently arrested a group of food distributors trying to fill up their gas tank for a generator.
According to reports, police apparently got wind of vehicles arriving from out of state (that were in no way violent) and took it upon themselves to break the windows of their vehicle in a SWAT-style arrest operation gone wrong. The AP reports that when they received that tip they found the SUV at a gas station filling up gas cans which were actually for the use of a generator for their food truck.
It comes as it has become increasingly clear that Kenosha police have it out for black residents as white supremacists are being ignored and black people are being arrested.
According to records, police unlawfully arrested at least 9 people who hadn’t actually committed any crime.
