And to the shock of nobody it is in fact Kamala Harris. The former contender for President is now his official pick for Vice President and is expected to be along his side to help him formally accept the nomination for President (and hers for VP.)

It’s worth noting that this makes Kamala Harris the first black woman to ever appear on a major party ticket.

There had been much talk about the town prior to the announcement considering it was long determined that Harris was likely a shoo-in for the job. Some advisers, however, had felt that she was questionable because they felt she had side swiped Biden in the first Democratic debate during the campaign trail.
