Apple has told Epic Games that it will kick them off of Apple ‘s development software this month

In the midst of a very weird legal battle, Apple and Epic Games are going at it in such a shady manner it’s the legal battle we didn’t know we needed. According to Epic Games, Apple has now notified the makers of Fortnite that they will be booted from Apple ‘s development software (and such) by 28 August. The move comes as apparent retaliation for Epic Games’ decision to overthrow Apple ‘s payment system and attempt to regain profits from them.

According to The Verge, Epic ‘s lawyers filed a claim on Monday citing that such a move would threaten the very future of Fortnite because of the sheer number of people who play on mobile devices. Apple is struggling with iPhone sales slowing down due to the pandemic — the company is struggling to maintain its grip on app revenue.
