It took roughly six months for American President Donald Trump to even consider fully wearing a mask, and now that is only being done so Trump can drum up his support for his re-election campaign. On Monday, what appeared to be a campaign video was released with the aforementioned slogan (“wearing a mask is patriotic.”)
‘We are United in our effort to defeat the Invisible China Virus, and many people say that it is Patriotic to wear a face mask when you can’t socially distance,’ Trump wrote. ‘There is nobody more Patriotic than me, your favorite President!’
The move comes as cases of the novel Coronavirus are soaring across America. Some cities and states are even considering reversing their lockdown abolishments to put them back in place.
