In the early morning hours of Wednesday, dressed as if it were a war-zone the NYPD attempted to secretly raid what has become known as the Occupy City Hall Protest Area. In a video that has since been shared online — dozens of people were forced out of the area amid claims by the NYPD that the area had become riddled by homeless people.

The CDC has long recommended not breaking up encampments of any sorts because those folks usually stay together. Encampments can and usually would become hot pockets for COVID-19.
