The Coronavirus has overtaken America

So much so that America now has more than 4m recorded cases. According to the latest statistical reports, the United States continues to see an alarming rise in positive cases coupled with a slowly increasing death toll.

CNN reports that the April peak that the U.S saw is quickly being approached as it is surpassed.

“We’ve rolled back essentially two months’ worth of progress with what we’re seeing in number of cases … in the United States,” Dr. Ali Khan, dean of the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s College of Public Health, told CNN on Thursday.

The U.S is now experiencing the brunt of the Coronavirus because the initial lapse in testing is now catching up to the rest of the world. Some of those patients and test that went unaccounted for are now among those experiencing some of the worst symptoms recorded thus far.

In places like Florida — more than 50 reported hospitals are at full and total capacity. Only about 15% of ICU beds are readily available in Florida, which happens to also be one of the hardest hit states right now. Mass hysteria; distrust in science, and the overall governmental response to the Coronavirus are all majorly to blame for the huge problem America has right now.
