Donald Trump: Don’t worry suburban families, no low-income housing will be allowed in your area(s)

Donald Trump is no stranger to racist messaging and Wednesday marked no different. On Wednesday, the wanna-be American dictator took to Twitter and quite literally proclaimed that he would keep low-income housing from ever hitting the suburbs. That claim in itself has long been associated with the racially charged claim that the presence of such housing decimates the value of suburban homes.

‘I am happy to inform all of the people living their Suburban Lifestyle Dream that you will no longer be bothered or financially hurt by having low income housing built in your neighborhood,’ Trump tweeted as he flew to Texas Wednesday, adding that ‘crime will go down.’

The move comes from a 2015 rule that was updated by then-President Barack Obama. The rule was originally meant to combat racial discrimination in housing practices, and the thought that somehow black and brown families (and those who may not be black) in low or moderate-income housing may inflict trouble for the burbs.
