According to Epic Games developers over the three days, with five shows in between, 27.7 million unique players participated in the event with a combined total viewing of 45.8 million views.

Rapper/producer Travis Scott cements the experience by joining Fortnite’s Icon Series.

Players who attended Astronomical gained an Astroworld Cyclone Glider and two loading screens for free.

Additionally, there were exclusive outfits, emotes, and other gear themed after Astronomical for purchase.

The record-setting concert series tops its 2019 Marshmello x Fortnite concert and it is no surprise for the platform as video streaming platform Netflix calls Fortnite its competition.

Epic Games’ popular free-to-play multiplayer Battle Royale shooter generated over $2.4 billion in 2018 contributing to 11% of that year’s revenue. As companies compete for viewership across gaming, films, television, music outlets Fortnite scored huge in this quarter.

What is the future of virtual concerts going to be like?
