Tara Reade ‘s story changes mostly depending on the day. On Friday, claims emerged that Tara Reade misled Washington officials and others about an apparent resume that helped her get the job at Biden ‘s office in 1993 to begin with.
As for her story this time — Friday brought reports that her lawyer has reportedly dropped her amid claims she lied about her resume.
Lied about what exactly?
According to multiple reports, Reade previously claimed to be a grad of Antioch College in Washington. The problem with that claim, er, is that just isn’t true as the school has denied such and the fact that they say she never actually graduated from there. However, Alexandra McCabe attended but never completed the programme.
Why is this important?
Early on, in California Reade played an integral part in quite a few domestic violence cases that actually led to convictions and the like. Lawyers for those convicted due to Reade ‘s previously testimonies are now demanding that the state review the cases.
What does her attorney say?
Douglas now says that not only has his firm dropped her, but that doing such isn’t a reflection of whether or not she’s telling the truth. Even in the midst of Wigdor confirming that she has allegedly been caught in a lie about her resume and credentials that appear to have very much led to possibly wrongful convictions.
We also believe to a large extent Mrs Reade has been subjected to a double standard in terms of the media coverage she has received,’ his law firm said.
‘Much of what has been written about Ms. Reade is not probative of whether then-Senator Biden sexually assaulted her, but rather is intended to victim-shame and attack her credibility on unrelated and irrelevant matters.’
What’s next?
Extreme questions over Reade ‘s life are now hanging in the air. Some have called her duplicitous others have called her a flat out hero. Reade, however, appears to be a woman who quite possibly struggles with reality; extreme debt, and a penchant for white-lies that went quite far.
