Dems are officially readying to go to battle over next stimulus relief bill

As we’ve reported a few times now — House Democrats have seen the past several weeks working on aka Coronavirus Relief Bill #2. In that bill, it is expected that the bill would touch on everything from food stamp expansion; more benefits, and more. According to Axios, we’ve got at least some components of the legislation about to be proposed.

  • About $1 trillion for state and local governments, which many state and local officials say are going broke as their spending soars to deal with the outbreak.
  • Roughly $25 billion to keep the US Postal Service in business and floating. The USPS was denied a bailout by Trump previously for political reasons.
  • Another round of direct payments to all Americans to help endorse spending.

The bill is effectively DOA because Republicans have already singled out that they’re not willing to sign onto another deal until the billions already provided are fully spent.
