Editors note: This is 1 of several articles on Onlyfans and how the once-popular social network has largely failed its consumers; users, and performers. The Daily News is prepared to publish a series of articles that lay out in complete detail how Onlyfans and its many “departments” have abused users; their wallet balances, and their powers within the company.

This article contains information from a source within Onlyfans, however, we have agreed to shield their identity entirely to protect their reputation and safety.

By the end of 2018, “Fenix International” (aka Onlyfans.com) had more than £5m in revenue. As of 2020, it is believed to be almost double that if not more.

I feel moreso when it all happens the creators will suffer more than anything and be left in the dust

SOURCE FROM WITHIN ONLYFANS, VETTED 31 MARCH 2020
IN COMPLIANCE WITH VETTING STANDARDS; IDENTITY PROTECTIONS.

On Tuesday night, The Daily News/News Now received communications from a source [that we have opted not to identify] that revealed in-depth details from within the company that indicates the company is indeed engaging in questionable and likely illegal business practices.

Sources revealed to The Daily News that Onlyfans is as we confirmed in our own investigation prior to vetting this source — almost entirely run by the Stokely family. “Almost all employees if not contractors, are family.” reads one message from the Onlyfans insider.

Editors note: During the vetting of our source, we agreed not to disclose how we communicated with this source. Therefore, we will provide blockquotes of the conversation but not identify their identity or how we communicated.

BAZAAR DAILY NEWS, MARCH 31 2020

As puny as it sounds, just that greed is a a terrible mistress. There are people, like you and I, who want these companies to be lawful. The creators depend on it and it’s only fair.

SOURCE FROM WITHIN ONLYFANS — VETTED 31 MARCH 2020

The same source confirmed the longstanding rumour that MyFreeCams (MFC for short) owns or operates a significant chunk of Onlyfans.com. During our informal interview, The Daily News was able to obtain photographic evidence that confirms Leonid Ravidnsky indeed owns a humungous share of Onlyfans and is scheduled to complete his partial takeover sometime in the next several months.

Registrant documents confirmed the sources story that Leonid Radvinsky indeed is set to own a majority share of Onlyfans.com. For those that are unaware or not fully caught up yet, Radvinsky is also known as “Leo” otherwise the man behind MyFreecams.com. We’ve learned that MyFreeCams.com has been financially failing for some time according to numerous financial documents obtained by this newspaper.

As we discussed on Twitter, we ourselves found that Onlyfans openly lied to numerous creators when referencing response e-mails as to why accounts were suddenly deleted with no notice. We’ve now learned, that per the inside source who has access to their system (that much we will confirm)…

Several departments handle responding to e-mails. I just actually found out recently that they’re saying “the system did it” (deleting accounts/banning people) which isn’t actually true at all. The system can bounce out new accounts, but cannot in itself erase current ones.

AN ONLYFANS SOURCE WITH ACCESS TO THEIR SYSTEM, CONFIRMED AND VETTED 31 MARCH 2020.

As our conversation with the unidentified Onlyfans insider deepened, we learned that Onlyfans doesn’t actually have a system in place to safeguard against many instances of fraud. In fact, per the source, “They depend on 3-D Secure.”

3-D Secure for those not hip to technology is a 3-layer type security protocol brought on by a third party who is meant to help protect online transactions and websites. However, if a website doesn’t have much of a fraud system themselves the service might not exactly be much of use to them. Onlyfans, however, appears to significantly depend on said secure tool.

When pressed on the subject of fraud and claims within Onlyfans and those by members/users — the source confirmed that they’ve received an influx of reports that people weren’t actually creating accounts but still receiving confirmation e-mails.

Interestingly, creators are complaining of being shut down because of “Fraud.” Looking through the system, so are members because their banks are blocking their cards. There’s also an influx of “I didn’t create an account, why am I getting a confirmation e-mail.? — yet the agents are responding with their e-mail isn’t in the system

SOURCE ON THE GROWING NUMBER OF FRAUDULENT SIGN-UPS AND PHISHING ALERTS ON ONLYFANS.COM

Part 2 to this investigative series will be published 1 April 2020. This is a series of investigative articles meant to expose the otherwise shoddy business practices of Onlyfans. In this article — we with the help of someone from inside their system managed to learn more about their dirty dealings.
