Term of the day: Social Stratification

Social Stratification is the categorisation of people essentially based on their social status or level of wealth. It is defined as a form of categorisation based in most common societies — but mostly those that operatee in a hierarchy format.

In most of the western world, social stratification is defined using lower; middle, and upper class categrisations.
