Because in Arizona lord knows it is only the scary white Republicans who are terrified of sexual orientation or anything to do with modern sex. According to a new bill proposed by Republican Senator Sylvia Allen would bar public schools from teaching or using the word “homosexual” “homo” or any form of it in the curriculum. In a nutshell, the proposed legislation wants to outlaw homosexuality entirely and wants to ban teenagers under the age of 12 from sex education all together.
The problem with this legislation is that most young teenagers are already experimenting with sex among their peers at this age. For the most part, this seems like another Republican led effort to make sex appear “dangerous” when in fact it is not.
In short the bill bans anything that “normalizes sexual conduct between minors or sexual conduct with a minor” or calls such conduct “safe or without risk.” (not referencing homosexuality here guys.)
In 2015, the same looney-tunes Senator proposed a bill that would forcibly mandate all Arizona citizens to attend church.
