New York City on high alert amid widespread coronavirus outbreaks, 2nd case in Chicago

MANHATTAN — Cities across America are tightening their travel rules and screenings amid high alerts popping up everywhere amid fears of the coronavirus. As of Friday morning, a 2nd case has been found in Chicago from a woman in her 60’s.

NYC health officials are advising people to proceed with extreme caution; wash their hands “obsessively”, and if by chance they encounter someone whom is sick go to a hospital immediately.

NYC ‘s Lagone and the public hospital system are all on high alert and dispersing information and protective gear to staff as a precautionary measure. In some areas of Brooklyn and downtown Manhattan, where Chinese residents are prevalent, concerns are prevalent that the disease could potentially spread from those who may be returning from Chinese New Year travels.
