De Blasio is pleading with the Trump Administration to solve NYC ‘s soaring homelessness crisis

I can vouge for the fact that New York has one of the worst homelessness problems I’ve ever seen (and I’ve been to most parts of America minus a few cities here and there.)  But “Mayoral Failure” De Blasio hasn’t done much to address those issues and I’ve lived here since at least the age of 19.

According to the New York Post, De Blasio has now made an effort to appeal and desperately at that to the Trump Administration for federal help in getting people off of the streets.   From inside New York, let me tell you, there are so many people in shelters and even more on the streets there aren’t many corners you can turn in this city without being greeted by one.

“The problem ultimately is Donald Trump has not shown any willingness to give us the tools we need, most especially Section 8 vouchers, which allow people to live in rental housing,” de Blasio told Ed Henry on “America’s News Headquarters.”

“The federal government needs to help us with Section 8 vouchers,” he added. “That’s the single-strongest piece we need from Washington that we are not getting right now.”

What De Blasio isn’t acknowledging is that mostly under his watch New York ballooned into a city meant only for wealthy people while leaving others out in the cold.   Surrounded by millionaires driving Mercedes;  Bentleys, and more the rich have only gotten more comfy in Manhattan while the Middle Class and low-income residents have gotten the short end of the stick.
