One question I’ve always wondered since the dawn of time is why haven’t we explored the parts of the ocean that haven’t been fully explored.?
It has quite literally been said on numerous occasions that only about 5% of the ocean has been topographically explored. Considering the ocean spans much of the modern planet in which we live — that’s pretty telling about just how unknown the world in which we call home really is.
It’s telling that orgs like NASA have spent the better have of their existence pushing the race to space — forthcomingly causing society-at-large to almost entirely forget about the ocean. Factoid: We’ve explored so much of space and almost all of Venus, but have absolutely no idea what is underneath is in the ocean right now as we speak.
