Clout is a drug: Young woman, 19, takes her own life because she couldn’t get enough likes on social media

Alike last year, the world continues to learn just how dangerous social media has become.  A 19-year-old American woman is dead this week after apparently taking her life over not getting enough likes on social media.

According to reports,  Chloe Davison, 19, hanged herself in her bedroom after failing to get a large number of substantial likes and numbers on her engagement on Instagram and Snapchat.

The Sun newspaper reports that Davison was found in her bedroom by her mum and sibling after they returned home on Friday night.    Both appear to have known previously that Davison ‘s social media use had consumed her life.
